4)      Massachusetts – 39

5)      South Carolina – 22

7)      Georgia – 12

8)      Connecticut – 7

9)      New Jersey – 5

10)  New York – 4

11)  New Hampshire , Rhode Island & Vermont – tied with 3 each

Total – 246 Patriot Ancestors

Actually the correct total of Patriot Ancestors is 244 with 2 soldiers serving in 2 different states during

 the Revolutionary War.
